GRID Legends is a racing video game developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts.

It is the fifth installment in the GRID franchise, released in February 25, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, followed by a January 12, 2023 release for Meta Quest 2.

The first game in the series published by Electronic Arts, GRID Legends was announced at EA Play Live 2021.[1]

Gameplay[]

GRID Legends offers more than 130 tracks to race on, ranging from the real-life circuits like Brands Hatch and Indianapolis Motor Speedway to street routes in San Francisco, Paris, London, Moscow, and many more. Featuring more than 100 vehicles, including Touring Cars, Semi-Trailer Truck, Open-Wheel, Stadium Trucks, Drift Cars and Electric Cars, many categories will compete in arena ovals, on street circuits and off-road racing.

For the first time since TOCA Race Driver 3, GRID includes a story mode. In GRID Legends it is shot using virtual production techniques that blend real sets and props with dynamic digital scenery.[2]

In the main story "Driven to Glory" players take on the role of Driver 22 who’s hired for struggling team Seneca Racing beside talented teammate Yume Tanaka to overcome Ravenwest Motorsport, which have dominated the GRID World Series for quite some time and is comprised of Lara Carvalho, Nathan McKane, and his uncle and team boss Ryan McKane, a returning character from TOCA Race Driver.

Additional story campaigns would be made available as downloadable content.

Pre Order[]

Pre-order included access to the GRID Legends: Seneca & Ravenwest Double Pack available on launch day. It unlocks four additional cars to use in Career, as well as events focused on Ravenwest Motorsport, team icons, liveries, and banners to help players represent either Ravenwest or Seneca.[3]

GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition[]

Released in February 25 2022, the Deluxe Edition included two packs, as well as access to exclusive Challenges.

  • Voltz Pack - Two cars, Volkswagen Golf GTI and Audi R8 1:1, as well as team liveries, banners and logos to help players rep Voltz, one of the new teams featured in GRID Legends’ "Driven to Glory" story mode.
  • Mechanic Pass - Allows players to unlock vehicle upgrades faster.
