The Chevrolet Corvette C5.R is a racing car manufactured by Chevrolet, based on the C5 generation of the Corvette although with reinforced frame, body panels are all made of CFRP, as well as suspension, brakes, and drivetrain specially designed for racing.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0L V8 engine, it would prove to be a very successful race car, including races at the American Le Mans Series, the SCCA Grand-Am Series, and the 24-hours of Le Mans.
