The BMW M3 (E92) is a sports car made by BMW, and the fourth generation model of the M3. Unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, it is based on the fifth generation 3 series, and would be offered as Saloon (E90), Coupe (E92), and Convertible (E93).
It is powered by a 4.0L V8 engine derived from the V10 used in the E63 M6 and E60 M5, and also reuses an optimised variant of the E46's limited-slip differential that is capable of 100% lockup. Weight saving techniques were employed, which includes a carbon fiber roof to reduce weight and lower the centre of gravity.
